Biography

Reknown drummer Johnny Friday has been performing with the Chuck Wansley Band for many years, while also sharing his extraordinary skill with many talented acts like Natalie Cole, Barbara Streisand, Patti Austin, Brian McKnight, Tom Scott, Donny McClurkin, BeBe Winans and others.

He has toured extensively with Natalie Cole, Tom Scott, Bobby Caldwell, Lalah Hathaway and Eric Marienthal. He has performed live on many award shows like the AFI Awards, The Emmy Awards and People's Choice Awards. Network shows he's drummed for include American Idol, American Idol Juniors, The Wayne Brady Show, The Chevy Chase Show, Melrose Place, Cybill and others.

Johnny also has extensive experience in the recording studio, having performed on the Natalie Cole DVD 'Live in London "Ask a Woman Who Knows"'; Tom Scott - Night Creatures, Reed My Lips; GRP Christmas Album, Eric Idle (CD-rom); Tom Wilson; Stacey Q - Boomerang; Bob Mamet - Adventures in Jazz; and Art of Sax - Portrait. Additionally he has played for national commercial campaigns, film and video.
